DDP’s featured rap artist...

Lou Streets
Unlike the usual swag you would expect to hear from the rappers of St. Louis, Lou Streets has came in the game with a different approach, which gives him a big advantage over other typical Midwest rappers. Aside from his individual style, Lou brings to the rap game his passion and integrity for creative quality music – something that most other rappers are lacking.

At the age of 14 was when Lou decided to express his creativity by writing his first raps. Although he would never perform in front of people at that time, he felt that he had a talent that needed to be recorded in some kind of way. When he chose to allow people to hear his talent, that’s when he noticed notoriety from his raps and decided to further pursue it. Rappers such as Styles P and Joe Budden also have given him more influence to become the rapper that he should be, not what others expected him to be. Regardless of the “trendy gimmick” rappers that are usually a one hit wonder, Lou believes that when a rapper spits something people can relate to, that’s when it becomes inspiring for the fan as well as for the rapper. He’s not afraid to touch sensitive topics that most rappers try to hide.

With the entertainment industry’s net being so big, Lou appreciates the fact that it’s easier for people to listen and critique on his music. He also understands the downfall of the net being so big and realizes that everyone who have a song isn’t made for rapping, thus the quality of the net is not as strong. Regardless of the situation, he continues to pursue his dream and show his talent through his songs. Make sure you listen to his tracks, including "Raise the Curtain" by Lou Streets.
